Adding dates to your smoothie is an awesome way to sweeten up an otherwise drab smoothie.
We tend to add a date or two when it just needs a tad more more sweetness without adding a whole apple or something that might not go well with the flavors.
For the freshest, sweetest tasting dates, get them with the pits still in them, but be sure to remove the pits before blending.
